Phase 7 outreach drafts — prepared 14 October 2026; not sent

Owner review notes
These are finding-led drafts for transport researchers, motoring editors and
insurance trade editors. No recipient list, relationship or endorsement is
assumed. Select recipients and confirm final wording before sending. The Site
is owner-private, so its current link is not suitable for an external pitch.
After editorial approval, attach the approved research pack or use a verified
public research URL. The drafts below contain no invented public link.

Draft 1: mileage finding
Subject: England mileage study: 31.3% of cars below 5,000 miles in 2025

Our new secondary analysis of the Department for Transport's National Travel
Survey puts 31.3% of cars below 5,000 annual miles and 55.1% below 7,000 in
England in 2025.

The contribution is a reproducible mapping from published mileage bands to
clear thresholds, with the full 2002–2025 series, downloadable aggregate data
and attributed charts. The source is NTS0904, released on 10 September 2026.
The 2025 unweighted sample contains 11,918 cars.

The estimates are respondent-reported annual car mileage. They are not a UK
fleet census, and we have not tested statistical significance or inferred
insurance savings. The methods preserve source exclusions and pandemic-era
comparability notes.

If useful for your work, I can share the data, reproduction code and charts.

Draft 2: market reporting distinction
Subject: Why low-mileage insurance availability needs more than a brand count

Our first low-mileage insurance availability report distinguishes published
product information from a verified buying journey and a closed quote route.
In an initial purposive set of seven UK research records, five have relevant
published information, one has an unverified estimate journey, and one is
retained as a historical record closed to new quotes.

The report combines specialist propositions, annual-insurance information and
a comparison route. Those are different roles, so seven records must not be
reported as seven insurers or seven products available to an individual.
We completed no personal quotes or purchases and make no completeness claim.

Each record carries official source links, a 14 October 2026 observation date
and its limitations. I can share the source-linked dataset and methodology if
that distinction would help your reporting.

Potential follow-up questions
- Is a particular mileage threshold useful to the recipient's research?
- Are there primary-source corrections or additional routes to investigate?
- Would the recipient prefer CSV, JSON or an attributed SVG chart?

Avoid claims of UK-wide prevalence, statistical significance, proven savings,
complete market coverage, available personal quotes or DfT endorsement. The
first market edition has no earlier comparable baseline for a market-size trend.
